I know Amy Richards and Jennifer Baumgardner and I have found them to be very impressive. They are both very intelligent, and great speakers and writers. I think they are updating the discussion about "feminism" and trying to get women to become activists (the old "the personal is political" is as true today as ever) as a means of improving the status of women. In addition, Amy recently became a mom and I will be curious to see if this changes any of her opinions.

I would be curious to hear more about why Donna thinks that the movement is in trouble and as a result, these women are turning on themselves. In general, it seems to me that too often "feminists" or activists speak for a small sliver of women but don't take into account situations that fall outside of their ideal scenarios, and this especially includes mothers who would like to scale back at work or leave the workforce for a while or forever. As a result, there is little movement in the movement, except for some small inroads here and there.
