Are *all* fathers doing more than their fathers did? Of course not. But there's a growing number of us that are doing our best to do away with the outdated idea that caregiving is solely a mother's sphere. By just about any measure, there are more stay-at-home dads than there were a decade ago. To the extend that gives husbands, wives and familes more choices in establishing work-family balance, it is an unquestionably good thing. I don't mean dads don't still get wary looks at the playground from time to time, but we're making progress.
